My personal opinion is that putting a patient on any living thing is wrong!
Beeeeccause... that is what could happen (heeeellllloooooo) duh! and Monsanto's company should be ashamed of themselves as well as all that are involved with them, even you with your name in the company in DC, actually especially you! Y'all need to do a little more research next time before backing something like this and look at the BIG PICTURE . . . if it's NOT TOO LATE! :(

EVERYONE: BUY ORGANIC if you can, BUY FROM LOCAL GROWERS if you can, grow your own little garden in your back yards, try to pay more attention to where things are ship from and too. How far did that product have to travel? The farther it traveled the more it hurts us : (

Make sure your children are not eating chemically engineered foods if at all possible. Start reading and researching what you eat!!!

Bunchkins. . .

These are the yummmmmious tiny little thangs!!!
So very sweet and fun to eat as well!

"Bunchkins" also know as Black Corinth Table Grapes... (we pick ours up when in season at Wal-mart).

To show you how small they are... I've put our "toothpick holder" next to them.
They are a must try!!! :)

Thanksgiving recovery. . .

Still recovering from ThanksGiving day meal and the continued consumption of leftovers!...lol 
I hope that all of you had a wonderful day! 
I was busy in the kitchen and visiting with family so I didn't get to post for the day, but still thought of y'all just the same. 

I do know that I plan to start a diet in January!  I know, I know, they say that is the worse time to start a diet!  But I want to wait until after the Holidays... because I know I'm gonnnnnnnna eat some reallllyyyy gooooooood food between then and now...lol :)

It was great to have the Family over for a traditional Thanksgiving meal. 
I'm realizing more than ever that I need to spend more time with our parents the older we get : /

I heard Christmas music today... guess that means I need to put up the Fall decor for the Christmas decor!

Sometimes the best places to be are "local places" :)

Define. . .

So true, thee older we get the more our lives grow and sometimes continue to grow because of others.  Not only what we do personally in our every day existence, but because of the people in our lives.  Some come and go... but some stay over the years!

There are those days that nothing happened to shake your world, nothing happened to freak you out, nothing happened to upset you, make you mad, no one got hurt, nothing really to report about. . . It was just "A DAY", a calm day :)

It's a good day when there is no drama.

Good Classic Movie...

I've heard it mentioned a couple of times today and of course went to our collection of movies and wanted to see it, yep there it was not been watched in a long time! 

What a great "classic" movie!

You should find an ole movie and in some cases dust it off and take the time to watch it again!!! :)
You'll be glad you did... where were you when you saw the movie in the first place...?

Did not realize. . .

I had not realized how much time I spent with Sammy over the last year or so... until today :(
My day was E-M-P-T-Y! (I cried a lot today). . .
I guess catering to his needs and carrying him around happened more often than I figured. (he lost his eye sight this past year).

I did spend a lot of time with Rusty (our other dog) today... I can't tell if he is sad & lonely??????
I was sad enough for us both!

A little emotionally drained last couple days!

False Hope. . .

Well, our sweet little Sammy wasn't getting better yesterday.  He died in the early hours this morning : (
I gave myself false hope when he got up on his own 3 or so times yesterday.  Hoping all will be ok!  But it was not.

I'm a wreck right now... I'll be ok, it was his time.

Our animals give us such joy and make us laugh most of the time!!!
We still have Rusty (mini poodle), Bear (Grey Russian blue cat) and the birds (love birds and cockatiels) to love : )

Still hang'n in there. . .

I awoke with a worried mind and heart this morning not knowing if my sweet Sammy was still with us.  Coming out to see that he is with us yet another day!!! (brought a smile to my face).

He was a tiny bit better today as he did get up on his own about 3 times... which is a good thing.  I was looking through some ole photos and wanted to share this one with you which I love! :)

ISN'T THAT THE CUTEST!  After his first hair cut in 1996 :)
He never lost that "cuteness" throughout his life!
He has brought so much joy to our lives... I'm going to miss him so!

But for now....
We will love and enjoy every second with him!!!
I don't want to leave the house in fear of returning home to loose him... : /

I also wanted to post this, I just heard...
Jill Clayburgh died today Nov. 5, 2010 she suffered for more than two decades from "chronic lymphocytic leukemia.  She was 66 years old.

So sad... A beautiful talented lovely lady.
RIP Jill Clayburgh!

Waiting. . .

I am sad this evening, our dog Sammy is not doing well.  We feel he is nearing the end : (
He has been a wonderful, funny and sweet loyal dog!!!

It is hard during this time, you know that it will come some day... but no matter how much you prepare yourself, it is never an easy thing to do!

Protecting us...lol... bless his heart!  No bigger than a minute but has a heart of gold!

 

That is before when he could move around alot and jump on things as little as he was... :)

My Mawmaw named him... after "Sampson and Goliath" (But wasn't it David?) no matter...  he thought he could take on The World!...lol

Ok, going to go now before I start to cry, aaaaaagain!

Voting Day. . .

Election Day
November 2, 2010

I know sometimes we think our vote doesn't count... but it does! 
In the large scope of things, it's pretty amazing that so many of us can actually vote all at the same time, in different places, all over the country and BE HEARD :)  Wow! pretty neat!!! 

It is frustrating when we don't see someone we voted for.... win!  We think to ourselves that... I was right, why doesn't everyone see that my person should have won?... : /  
Well, it is a process in which is fair for all who live and vote in our country!  (except for thee occasional slip up)... I wish your person of choice luck (and my peeps too!)

I hope all of you got out to vote today! :)
