The Eagle Soars. . .

She was so beautiful!!!

I didn't get the camera out quick enough so I borrowed Rolt Hicker's pic, when I looked out the front window of my vehicle this is what I saw :)
Shear beauty! The Bald Eagle.
Made me smile!

I had to slow down a bit (didn't want to get into an accident) to watch her soar across the sky with such grace and elegance!

Family ghosts. . .

Well, my family has one! 
She see's one person in each generation!  Spooky huh!! 
I am not the person she has visited in my generation, but privy to experience things being with the person she did visit.

Sometimes comical and sometimes unnerving, but always intriguing!!! 
We had a Matriarch in our family and when she passed away the family all gathered at her home.  We were all sitting around the large living room of thee ole homestead chatting and telling story's, all generations present!  That is the day we all found out about "Our Ghost."

The eldest started to tell a story about the "little white lady" and the hair on the back of necks stood up of those who knew of another story of this very same "little white lady" but haven't told anyone!  (didn't want anyone to think they lost their marble, so to speak)... but before letting on of the story to be told... one of the youngest generations told what she had seen... all were amazed and astonished at the clarity of this young child's story! 

As she finished her story, they ended it as "no one has seen her since AND that she SKIPPED a generation..."  Until I said, "weeellllllllllllllllll".... not... exactly"  A hush fell over the room as to say... tell us more!!!! tell us more!!!! what have you seen, what have you heard??? 
I had to inform them it was not me, but I knew who did... in THE SKIPPED GENERATION.
So this person (after I asked if they wanted to say something...) told their story!

It rather spooked a couple of family members to make everyone laugh and they said "THEY WERE OUTTA HERE".... lololol (and to this very day won't go over there after dark...lol).
BUT I was thirsty for more!!!!

I personally would like to be one (if they are nice and friendly...lol) that would like to see an apparition (that I know)... I told my "MAWMAW" she should come back to see me sometime... :)   She informed me many months before her passing that "I AIN'T COMM'N BACK HERE, WHEN I LEAVE, I'M GONE"...lol
I had to make her laugh and beg her to "PLEASSSSSSEEE COME BACK AND SEE ME, PLEASSSSEEEEE"...  she laughed.... which made me smile too!!!!! A special memory for me :)

***Make memories with the ones you love, don't just sit in front of the TV or Computer allllll the time... make new memories!  You'll be glad you did! :)

Because life is pretty short and very unexpected!!!!

Dad's 70th Birthday. . .

Just wanted to Thank My Dad for being a wonderful person!
We had a wonderful day today to celebrate his 70th Birthday...

You've worked hard all your life to care for your family, and I appreciate you :)
Thank you for all that you have done for me!
Thank you for all your help through the good times and the bad!
Thank you for believing in us "kids" and for teaching us all that you have!
(well you know how kids are... lol goes in one ear and out thee other...lol just kidding...hee heee)

watched a film that. . .

Made me think. . .   : /

Saw the movie "GREEN ZONE" this evening. 
W--O--W!!! 

Don't know if you've seen it, but I think everyone should see this one.  I know movies are exaggerated or fiction if not from a true story.  Well. . .  this one you'll have to see for yourself and make up your own mind, base on events that has happened- - true or not true?  

I wish we could all get along!  Life would be "happy" with butterfly's and puppy dog tails... 
ok ok, maybe not so much.... but, we've GOT TO TRY to get along and help each other out and work together... everyone, (if you breath air that would include you too) not one side or the other!!!  
OR we will destroy ourselves (ourselves = humans).

I started the day out by focusing on the "Bullying" problem here in America.  Sad, very sad.  I know there has to be different "types" of people for the human race (all of us) to co-exist or even move forward! 

However, bullying is cruel...! 
It doesn't matter who you are, there is no reason for this behavior!  None...!

For those who think there is no way out.... suicide is NOT thee answer!!!  Please seek help from a friend or professional!!!  Google where you can talk to some one for guidance if you don't know where to turn!

I almost get the feeling that this movie and the bullying kind of go hand in hand today???  : (
funny how things work that way...

The anti-bully signs were purple-candles/ribbons this week here in Central Florida.
Today seems prevalent for mine. . .

Reconnecting. . .

 Hey there,

Hope your Thursday has been a good one!

I thought to myself today, well butter my biscuits... I thought I'd never see that person again!!! Someone from my past, low and behold... started chatt'nnn with and ole friend again.  That feels good, makes me smile all over to reconnect with someone important in my life.

Gives me that awwwwwwwwwwwwh feeling and good memories of days gone by!

When someone is special or just simply means something to you... don't let too much time past between you both.  Life is short and we don't get that "in between" time back!

RIP Tom Bosley & Barbara Billingsley. . .

It is so sad to see "Icon's" of our time die, it is almost as if we are loosing them in our own lives as who they portrayed in the shows they were in.  We were all glued to the sets to watch our favorite shows back in the day!

Tom Bosley (past away October 19th 2010) who of course played everyone's DAD (Mr. Howard Cunningham) in "Happy Days"

And earlier this week we lost Barbara Billingsley (past away October 16th 2010) who played everyone's MOM (June Cleaver) in "Leave it to Beaver"

May they rest in peace as they lived out long lives... Tom was 83 and June was 94.
Thank you for being in "my life" at the time you were!!! :)

Planning. . .

Hey y'all,

It was a busy day today with collecting ideas and visiting the Hall where we will have our parents "50th Wedding Anniversary" Celebration (next year :)
We want to be prepared (ya think!)...lol 

We figure if we get things throughout the year we will have a great Celebration for them!!! We are going for "Elegant"  as our theme (on a budget)..... we'lll seeeeee  : )  Will show photos of the Event so you can see what we end up with.

Christmas will be contributing a lot of ideas and goodies for the decoration list, that is for sure!  We are lucky that this year seems to be "trending" towards the "glittery gold"... how perfect is THAT!!!  However, looking at so many gold items we've realized that there are MANY Gold hues!  aaaaahhhhhhhh!
So we put the gold color we've chosen (from a glitter bottle) into a little bag and carry it with us to match the gold color when we look for items!  Good idea huh!!! :)

If you have an ideas for us to think about, or good tips from one you've done or have been too you could pass along...it sure would be helpful... you're more than welcome to share your ideas here if you'd like.
