Occupy Wall Street . . .

When the People figure it out... that the banks (big business, lobbyist, etc.) were/are the problem they will stand Together For Change.

And so it is happening!

Keep an eye on this to see how it plays out!

One of the problems is . . .  greed, always wanting more. 
I've done it - have you? 

But looking at the big picture, it is a horrible thing to be G-r-e-e-d-y.  Top that with all the other issues out there and ya gotta big problem!  Let's see how they fix it!

Some issues I see are:
Greedy (Top guys and fat cats, people running the show)
Global Warming or Global Cycling... NO MATTER WHAT YOU CALL IT, it will Still change the weather!
7 Billion people on the planet as of Oct 31, 2011
Living in a box with windows is expensive!
You can buy a car that costs as much as a house... WTH
Why inflate prices when cost of living stays low?...Duh
Too much pollution out there, lets stand together to fix that too!
and sooooo much more. . .   :  /

WE HAVE TO BE THE GENERATION TO CHANGE THINGS FOR THE BETTER!
Help Do your part... I'll try to do mine!!! : )

A STORM ROLLLLING IN. . .

I just love to watch the sky's to see what they will produce!  Clouds change by the Second!  color's are amazing!  shapes form!  time passes!

Here are a few that I wanted to share, they are simply amazing and it was fun taking them, every 10 min or so I wanted to grab the camera and take a new photo. . .

Mom and Dad's 50th Wedding Anniversary :)

What a Beautiful Celebration it turned out to be. . . 
Which almost didn't take place. . .

First thing I want to THANK my LITTLE SIS for everything and all the many hours and hard work her and I put into this Event! (It's been a YEAR in the making!!!)

(We know it's been a difficult week and are glad y'all made it back home as well Aunt Faye and Uncle Jimmy. We've pushed through this week... it has been a rough one!!! :( We're sorry other family members couldn't be there, but we had a death in the Family....Tammy you will "FOREVER" be LOVED AND MISSED!
We weren't sure that week if this was even going to take place... : /

My little sis doing 'too much' as usual, also surgery this same week...
you should have been the director, love you :)

I guess we did ok girl ....hee heeeee! :)
and oh my gosh, we had 5 minutes to get ready!!!!!!!!!!!! eeeeeeeeeeek!

We DID NOT get to everything we wanted to do! Still had 2-3 boxes we didn't even open yet....lolololol.... but all in all it turned out BEAUTIFUL!

A HUGE THANK YOU to All of you that were able to showed up to Celebrate Mom & Dad's Special day. We hope it is a day they will never forget :) It was actually (July 2nd) their 50th Anniversary that evening :) which I think makes it that much more special that You could be there with them :)

 50 years ago today (July 2nd)

 

 The Beautiful Cake we had made at Publix 

We gave them a photo of a cake and they made it!

 

 Mom's original dress not preserved but still beautiful.

 

 Last minute design!  Turned out to be my fav :)

 

 Photo spot for everyone that came in after they signed the "Signature Frame" then had their photo taken.

  

 This was the "Travel Table"  story is:  Mom and Dad had to drive from Mississippi to Washington State after the reception!!!  (Dad had 3 days to get back to Military).

 We played a slide show with OLD PHOTOs to old music (Big Band, Jazz, 50's, etc.) then when that was finished we played a "Lawrence Welk" Video, "Happy Anniversary" Bogo, "Happy 50th Mom & Dad" Bogo, and BUBBLES!!! :)

 It was a lovely evening!  Turned out Beautiful! :)

  

 2am........ we're pppooooppppeddd out Exhausted!!!

  

    Doesn't even look like we were everrrrrrr there!

Helping Others. . .

Hey everyone  :)

Sorry, been too long...
Something is on my mind today...

These are some trying times many are facing, if at all possible... help others! 
Do something for the next person if you can (like a pay it forward without the "I did something to deserve" this) but for humanity or just because you want to be a better person and help.

We can all use more understanding and tolerance these days!!!
Life was never a guarantee of Roses and perfect dreams. . . (I've learned that along the way :)  But life is what we make it, how we cope, and our actions remembered!

So, extend a helping hand, be kinder than usual to others...

Three of my favorite sayings are:

WHAT A GREAT IDEA FOR AIRPORTS for their very tired PILOTS! 
We had recently watched a program where the pilots were NOT getting the rest then need and sleeping in break rooms balled up in chairs and such...

THIS IS A SMART SOLUTION!!!

If you are in any way a mover and shaker for the "AIRLINE" industry... you should check it out!

I know I want to feel as if My Pilot has rested well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Plastic Sadness. . .

There is sooooo much plastic washing up on many shores around the world!
We need to clean these beaches and STOP THROWING PLASTIC INTO THE WATERS!!!
The animals are also being affected!
If they eat plastic... then YOU eat plastic!!!

AWFUL, JUST AWFUL!!!!

Times are Crazy and tough right now. . .

Hey everyone...

I hope this finds you well, it has been a crazy few weeks! 
Let me said first today my heart goes out in two different places... first New Zealand where there was an earthquake 6.5 which killed at least 65 people :(   and second for those 4 Americans that lost their lives to horrible people called pirates!  My heart goes out to the friends and families.

We've been doing a little research on Storing food and learning how to grow your own veggies :)

So interesting to see what is out there that you can actually use each and every day!!!

I'd love to have one of these, isn't that cool.... then I wouldn't forget anything in the back of the pantry!!!...LOL  :)
It rolls forward when you use product and replace it, it will roll down to the next available spot :)

Flood in Brazil. . .

According to the BBC:

More than 500 people are now known to have died in floods in south-eastern Brazil, the country's worst natural disaster for several decades.

Heavy rain has led to massive mudslides hitting several towns, resulting in thousands being made homeless.
Police say the number of dead is likely to rise further.
The death toll has now surpassed the devastating 1967 mudslides in Caraguatatuba, Sao Paulo state, in which up to 430 people perished.
'Thousands trapped' Rescue workers will resume searching for survivors in the mountainous Serrana region, north of Rio de Janeiro, later on Friday.
Many spent Thursday scrabbling with their bare hands through debris.
On her visit to the area, President Dilma Rousseff promised a shipment of seven tonnes of medicines.
In the Campo Grande area of Teresopolis, which was earlier cut off, rescuers found people pulling bodies from the mud.
In the neighbouring town of Petropolis, local resident Nelson Toledo told the BBC that some areas "had been completely devastated" by the floods and mudslides.

Authorities weigh limited shipping on Germany's Rhine after acid-laden tanker capsizes

By The Associated Press (CP) – 1 day ago

BERLIN — German authorities are considering allowing limited shipping traffic to resume on the Rhine as they struggle to right a capsized tanker loaded with sulfuric acid.
Martin Mauermann, head of the shipping office in Bingen, said Friday that firefighters had resumed the search for two missing crewmen. Two others were rescued when the ship capsized early Thursday.
Authorities don't know what caused the ship to capsize in the strong currents at a notoriously dangerous bend in the Rhine beneath the famed Loreley cliff in western Germany. No acid has leaked.
Rescuers plan to secure the vessel to pontoons to prevent it from drifting. That would allow for limited shipping to start up again on the river, a key European waterway.

Strange, but anything CAN happen!

Wow!!!
When is rains it pours!
Many lost their lives and are still missing today after an Australian flood 'tsunami' :(
A truly sad day!!!

Mother Nature can sometimes overpower us with her rath!  Please be safe and don't go TO THE FLOOD WATERS, THEY ARE VERY DANGEROUS!!!

My heart goes out to those that couldn't or that were unable to get away fast enough from these treturous waters!!!
Truly amazing and heart breaking!

My Heart Breaks for Arizona. . .

It is so unbelievable to hear of such (___________)!

This is NOT how, as a Human Being, we are suppose be like or act like, it is Not ok!
The lack of respect for another human life, thee arrogance to think one is better than thee other because you don't agree with another...! 
The many that suffer because of a thoughtless actions of one person is just so very sad!  :(

This blog is to Honor those that died, and for those that were injured that day!

 

 Those that died in the Tucson Arizona January 8, 2011 shooting  :(

Among the six people killed was a 9-year-old girl who was born on the day of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and was interested in public service.  The little Tucson girl killed in the shooting Saturday was herself an office-holder, having just won a seat on her elementary school's student council. A neighbor invited 9-year-old Christina Taylor Green to Rep. Gabrielle Giffords' event, thinking she might enjoy the political event.  (Christina was shot, one bullet to the chest, that killed her)  :(

Hang in there Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (who was shot in the head), you're a fighter, you can do this!!!
Fight for your life!!!!!

Total of 13 others were injured along with Gabrielle!!!

Lifting up those involved as well as family members that have to grieve the loss of loved ones...
Our thoughts are with you all...
