A Perfect Day At Walt Disney World. . .

Hey y'all :)

I know it's been a bit, but Tis the season! Busy Busy Busy :)
Hoping you are doing well!

Other than the ride there and back to Disney, it was a perfect day.
We started at the "Boardwalk" to meet with a friend that was getting us in for the day.  It was very nice of him and his wife to choose us to share their pass with.  Thank You Mr. and Mrs. M.

Of course everywhere you go, it is decorated for Christmas!
It was most Beautiful!!!
Our departure from the Boardwalk was on a "ferry ride" to the back of "Epcot Center"... when we arrived at the gate I saw an ole friend I'd not seen in 20 some years (I used to work there in my 20's).  It was great to see a familiar face!
Epcot is most beautiful around the back of the park in the Country's!  Just strolling through the country's makes me happy and puts a spring in my step and puts a smile on my face!  :)

We three walked to the front of the park to get a fast pass to soarin in the "Land" pavilion.
We said good bye to our gracious host who was off to shop for Christmas gifts.  Got some good photos on the boat ride.

I won't bore you with all the details...lol (just high points)... But Evererererererereryyyyyy where we went we ended up seeing something that we didn't plan on seeing or weren't going to see such as bands, parades, fireworks, etc. throughout the day.  It was amazing!

Off to the "Living Seas" to see the aquarium (Nemo's world)... They had 2 Manitee's there that were being taking very good care of, but sad to see them all messed up from people boating over them... : /

As we were getting ready to leave the front of the park to visit the country's... we were just in time... walking through got to see the "dancing water show" to Christmas music...!

Then off to the country's to eat lunch at the "American" pivilon.  However, on our way there in the Japan pavilion they were getting ready to start playing the drums!  AWESOME!

So off to lunch we go... it was lovely and yummmmmy (little pricey! but we knew that would happen).  We saw wonderful gingerbread houses all day in each park, each place, each hotel had their own Gingerbread houses!

Around the corner we saw the cutest miniature outdoor train setup!
off we go around the lake............   I hear a band... I hear Mariachi's!!! Yep when we got there, the Mariachi band in Mexico was playing :)

They were pretty good :)
At this point we decided to go to the Wilderness Lodge for dessert (which was one of the things we wanted to do while we were out there).  So off we go up toward the monorail system!  On our way out we hear yet another band.... could it be?!!!
Yep.... here's another band that was visiting the park for the holidays.

Onto the monorail platform and thee awaiting train...
Arriving at the TTC (ticket and transportation center) we decided to ride the ferry over to the main entrance where we needed to get our transportation to the Wilderness Lodge.  It was a lovely boat ride over :)

There's our Captin of the General Joe Potter :)
On the way over we pass the Polynesian Hotel, which as a child our family would go to dinner and take a seat out on the beach to watch the fireworks during the summer holidays :)  Disney was my family's backyard!  I feel very privileged to be able to say that!
Passed the Floridian Hotel as well.

Arriving at the Main Entrance we went to the bus station where we told the gentleman that we needed to catch the bus going to the Wilderness Lodge and he said... "you should take the boat, it's a beautiful ride over and takes just as long" :)
So we did!!! and he was right... it was Lovely and a view I'd never seen before in my many days at Disney...

Around the corner to the Wilderness Lodge, it was pretty cool too... :)

The Lodge was GORGEOUS! :)

Yes, while there at the Lodge we were able to see Mickey and Minnie all dressed in their Christmas Attire! :)
Remember, we came over to dessert.... so off to see what we could find.  There was a restaurant very busy and buzzzzing with children riding their pretend horses around the restaurant... so the waitress took us to the back portion of restaurant and put us RIGHT NEXT TO THE FIREPLACE!!! how nice!!!!! we thanked her much for such a perfect seat :)

It was a wonderful visit... we'll be going back there one day :)
We caught a boat back to the Ticket center so we could take a stroll down main street... that is what I wanted to do that day...  As we left the Lodge on our journey by boat, the sun was setting... I am a freak for a beautiful sunset :)  Love them!!!!!
A lot of my evening shots didn't come out so good, but it was the memory that was important to us!
Main Street was BEAUTIFUL AS ALWAYS!!!!!

As a child our parents took us to the "movies" and when we went to the movies it was a special day each and Every time!!!!! We didn't go to the regular movie theatre's that most people went to....It would consist of going to the park walking on Main Street to the Candy store to pick out some candy to eat while watching a Disney Movie in our SPECIAL MOVIE THEATRE!  which was behind the "secret door" Dad called it, where cast member family's were able to preview movies before they came out to the public! (pretty cool huh!!!! :)

We were fortunate enough to catch a parade while there!  I kept saying when we would see something special that this day is getting better and better...

So down Main Street we go after the fun parade... Front row seats!
Off to the castle to take a photo and then we are going to MGM Studios to see the Osbourne Family lights...  But wait........................
when we get in front of the Castle . . . Characters were coming out onto the stage!!!! WHAT!
I got misty eyed... this day is getting to be too much!.... Yep, it was the lighting of the Castle!!!!! woooo hooooo! ISN'T SHE BEAUTIFUL!!!
Cinderella, Prince Charming and all the gang were there to light the CASTLE on this night!!! Most beautiful it was!!! :)
I was so happy!!! I said on our way out... this night can't get any better! :)

So off we go to the Monorail to get to a bus to take us to the MGM Studios...
Going to see the Osbourne family lights...
But wait......................... upon our arrival to the Studios, I get a text from the gentleman Mr. M. that got us in this morning... y'all should see the Fantasmic show.... it's worth watching if you get a chance... and yes we DID get that chance ...lol  amaaaazzing... we get there, and THE LINE IS FORMING FOR THE LAST SHOW...!!!!!!! awwwwesome!   (Dancing water and lights with character).  Harkening back to the ole Mickey a lonnnng time ago.

awwwwh, lovely show!  (however a lot of water video show : /  nevertheless, Disney is awesome)...
off to see the street of lights...
But wait................................. on our way over there... a band starts to play...LOLOL Yep, way coooool!
They were playing 70-90's music having a Great time!!!!!!
Got in with the crowd that was forming also... FUN :)
At this point I couldn't believe our luck!!!
We get to the lights and they were soooooo cooooool and beautiful!!! The show was about to begin... (to be fair here... they continued every hour until 11pm) but we got there right when it was going to begin again!!!! :)  and guesssssss what???????? IT WAS TO THE MUSIC OF:  TRANS SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA - WIZARDS IN WINTER (see earlier blog for the video of the song :)  I'm in heaven! :)

There are too many to post!!!!!  :)
and it snowed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT!!! ok Disney style snow machines :)
wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wonderful wonderful show!!!!!!
Ok... end of the night... it was great!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But wait..................................lol... on our way back home, I'm mean to the Boardwalk... we took a boat and while we were dropping people off at the Swan and Dolphin Hotel dock WE SAW FIREWORKS!!!!!!! YEP....

The cherry on top!!!!!

So I took photos from inside the boat!... got cold by the end of the night! burrrrrr...
Funny thing when I took that photo... it made two hearts.. awwwwwwwwwwwwh!!!!!

Finally arrived at the Boardwalk Dock and disembarked.  Went through the hotel took a couple last photos...

Another Gingerbread house with Royal Icing and candy!
Another beautiful fireplace and Christmas tree!!!
Where we started our day...
We now end our day...

Lunch with mom and sis. . .

It's funny how time and events change us!
Mother and I didn't always see eye to eye!  But we are doing so much better these days thanks to certain things happening in our family and "time" healing things that didn't makes since at one time.

Had a good day visiting on Tue.
I took a pic of their Christmas decor... they never take pic's of their own place...lol
But thought I'd share it with you because it looks like a postcard :)

Isn't it so preeetty :)

Trans Siberian Orchestra.......was AAAAWEsome!!!!!

If you ever get a chance to see them, you should!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
(ya gotta be able to appreciate Rock music along with Christmas music though).
They were Wonderful!!!

I however had a problem with the new Amway stadium!
We didn't think we needed to "See" them as much as "Hear" them... so we opted for the cheaper seats.
Not a problem...

When we got there on that cold night of Dec. 12th 2010 it was neat to see the new arena and how they put some "Bling" in the surrounding area with different colored lights on the overpass, etc... and all is well until we were told where our seats were... you go to the right and up the escalators. Ok, no problem still...

Thennnnn we LOOK'd to the right!
There begins the problem...lol
and there were these huge, very tall escalators going to the roof!!...lol ok... off we go... then we had to go up more escalators still!!!...lol there was FOG up there!!!!!!!!! WT heck...lol
If you haven't guessed by now.... I DON'T DO HEIGHTS!!!!! welllllll, I did this night! :o
for the sake of seeing the Trans Siberian Orchestra!!!!!!!!!

We find our seats and I couldn't look down and started to get Anxiety! Much Anxiety... It was very steep and narrow between you and the person in front of you!!! It was horrible for me!... but I held on to Franklyn for the wholeeee concert...lol or the back of his seat!!!... :)

I figured he weighed more than me and the seat was bolted into the concrete!!!! so it shouldn't go anywhere!...lol I could Not take photos because I could not not hold on to something!!!! (had my sister take the photos and videos...lol)
It was crazy and crazier still was the horrible feelings I was having... : /
But I got through it and it seem'd a little better once the lights went out.

It was a great show and we were in great seats for the laser light show... the band however was prettttttty far away. Next time... closer seats!!!!! :)

Thank you TSO for the wonderful evening! (in spite of my anxiety - YOU ROCK IT!!!!!!!! :)
Here is a video from youtube to share with you...

Goodnight everyone,
Sweet dreams,
Hugs,
Miss Tee :)
